The Hoover SteamVac DualV Widepath with AutoRinse comes with the patented Spinscrub brushes that clean all sides of the carpet fibers. The WidePath provides 20% more brushing action.  Excellent carpet cleaner! December 31, 2009

I purchased this carpet cleaner from Amazon.com for my son for Christmas because he just purchased a home and has two dogs and wanted a carpet cleaner. I was at his house over Christmas and we cleaned several rooms, including some areas that are heavy traffic areas that had some spots. The carpets looked awesome after using this cleaner and the spots in the heavy traffic area came out. He was so pleased with this Christmas present.
One thing I loved about this cleaner is that is doesn't leave the carpet saturated with water like many other carpet cleaners. The carpets dried quickly. We also used the hand held tool and cleaned a couch where one of his dogs had an accident (we cleaned the entire couch). We let the couch dry overnight under a ceiling fan and it turned out great.
I am very pleased with this machine and will most likely try to purchase one for myself on down the road.

I got this product for my parents, but of course ended up being the one doing all the cleaning with it.
It is easy to clean with as well as clean up afterwords (old hoover steamvacs were painfully difficult to maintain as the dirty water storage bin could not be taken apart).
I have to mention that the plastics used in putting this unit together feel cheap. They remind me of the cheap plastic used in happy meal toys. there are loose strands of plastic at spots where the injection mold connects. It speaks to poor craftsmanship and corner cutting to get the lowest production cost. Its disappointing for a machine this expensive but so far the performance hasn't suffered.
Other than that, it works as advertised. Thumbs up.

Worked great the first time we used it. Second time the brushes won't spin so it's pretty much useless now.
