I used to use a dyson hand vac but the battery died and cost too much to replace. This vac picks up almost as good and its a fraction of the price !

Darned thing really SUCKS !!!! And...in this case, that's a good thing ! Little heavy and un-wieldly, but really makes up for those things in POWER ! Plan to buy two more for my children's families.

Don't write many reviews but this item warrants 5 stars and I feel compelled to write a note on it. It works great - the suction is really strong for a cordless, rechargable unit; and the pivoting action is very useful. The filters need replacement every few months depending on the extent of clogging. We run it 3-4 times a day for about 2-5 min each time - mainly to clean dry food spills. It has been great in the car as well. We've owned 2 other handheld vacuums - the kind you plug into the car charger - they were pretty useless. I'll buy this again without thinking twice.
