Little package, Big pickup March 4, 2010 Cindy from So. Jersey This truly is a lightweight vacuum, so you have to be mindful of that and be gentle with it. With that being said, I am very pleased so far (even somewhat surprised) with its pickup. It really does the trick, and I have used it for more than just the kitchen, small areas, and steps - though I would not suggest major vacuuming jobs. It is very compact and can be stored in a small area. When dumping out the debris, my suggestion would be to hold it over a trashcan and lightly tab the debris off into the can. I have even washed the cup in warm water. It is really a nice little machine in a small package if you can deal with the size. I do wish, however, the 15 ft. cord was slightly longer.
Cant beat the price! February 26, 2010 J. Schroeder (East Setauket, NY) Just had this 2 days.
First the bad, the cord is really short and seems alot less than 15 feet. As others said, get an extension cord. The other problem is the crevice attachment there is no place on the vacuum to attach it to when its not in use. And the base is a little wide in the sense I could not get under furniture farther than I wanted or thought I would be able to.
The good, I am just over 5'10" tall and I had no problem using the vacuum. I did not have to hunch over at all. The main thing, after using for 5 minutes and my floors to start seemed very clean, the vacuum picked up a lot of grit, hair, dust. I was very surprised. And there is no issue emptying the vacuum, just do it over a garbage bag, was easy to me. And remember in my opinion this is a vacuum for wood floors, vinyl or tile floors, not rugs unless its really low, low pile.
All in all, cant beat the price. Just get that extension cord. 4 stars.
Satisfied buyer February 11, 2010 Barbara Chally (The Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri) Tired of lugging around a heavier vacuum just to touch up some spaces on indoor/outdoor carpet in our lake home when needed, I wanted something more convenient than a handheld little vac I had to lean over to use! After looking at everything available at Amazon.com and reading the reviews about the ones with the greatest appeal for me, this was my choice. Having used it several time now just short of the two months since it arrived, I'm very pleased with its capabilities. Once I've picked up what I needed to where used, and am finished, it's so easy to empty to have it ready for another use that sometimes I even decide to keep going further! Many little jobs are so much easier to contemplate than vacuuming used to be!
Great little vacuum February 2, 2010 A happy customer (Lake Ridge, VA) I needed a small lightweight vacuum to use after surgery. This Eureka was recommended by a friend. It is so easy to use and great results.
For the price it is a winner! January 29, 2010 Susan (OZ) This is a good little machine that is built to be a picker-upper, not to vacuum the entire house. It is powerful enough to pick up whatever falls under my daughter's chair and to broom up kitchen crumbs etc. In fact, I have been surprised how full the dust cup is after using. It seems to work well on carpet and hardwood/tiles but I have no pet hair to contend with. It loses a star for the cord which needs to be about 4-5 foot longer and for the plastic construction that looks cheap and that I'm sure would not survive being dropped on a tile floor.
